Robert A. Scherrer, DMD, is an experienced dental professional. He serves patients at Advanced Dental Care of Ridgewood, in Ridgewood, New Jersey.
In 1988, Dr. Scherrer graduated from Rutgers School of Biomedical and Health Sciences in Newark, New Jersey, formerly known as the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey.
Dr. Scherrer has been a part of the New Jersey tradition of advanced dental care since 1991. He opened his first dental office in North Bergen, practicing there for 16 years, before transferring to the current location in Ridgewood in 2005. Over the years, Dr. Scherrer has honed his skills while never losing sight of his goal to provide comfortable, friendly dental care.
Continuing education has remained a top priority for Dr. Scherrer, who considers himself a lifelong learner. His recent focus has been on cosmetic reconstruction, including crown and bridge, dental implant restorations, and porcelain veneers, although he also enjoys endodontics (root canals).
In 2010, Dr. Scherrer won the title “Best of the Quest for the Best,” sponsored by Aquasil for Bridge Impressions, for his bridge impressions' precision and quality. Just recently, Dr. Scherrer was voted Top Dentist in Bergen County and is featured in 201 Magazine’s June Health Issue.
Dr. Scherrer is a member of the American Dental Association, the Academy of General Dentistry, and the New Jersey Dental Association.
